The Delineator a “Journal of Fashion, Culture Fine Arts” was put out by the Butterick
pattern people and included fashion sewing patterns for the day’s styles in addition to the
usual homemaking tips. In later years the covers became more art deco style.

Published by Timothy Arthur Shay Arthur’s Home Magazine was founded in 1852. In addition to fictional short stories uplifting strong moral values (temperance etc.), vintage needlework patterns, miscellaneous drawings, and cooking tips there were sermons also located in each issue of this magazine.
